Computer Protection
Personal computers use millions of people around the world in their daily operations. Computerization in our country takes a wide range, and many hundreds of thousands of people spend most of the working day and free time before the display screen.
While recognizing the undeniably useful use of computer technology, PK users are concerned about their health.
Mobile phones, stoves, computers and televisions have the most significant influence on humans. Microwave stoves are mostly short-lived (average of 1 to 7 minutes), televisions cause significant damage only at a close distance from viewers.
The influence of mobile phones on human organisms is a separate conversation (see " Mobile phones on humans " ).
But often the sources of electromagnetic radiation we interact with for a long time are the most dangerous. Against this background, the problem of electromagnetic radiation of SC, i.e., the effect of the computer on human organisms, is quite acute for several reasons:
- The computer has two immediate sources of electromagnetic radiation (monitor and system block)
- PK user is most often unable to work at a safe distance
- Long-term exposure of computers (for modern users may be more than 12 hours, under official regulations prohibiting computer work more than 6 hours per day).
In addition, there are several secondary factors that exacerbate the situation, which can be attributed to work in a close unprotected room and to the concentration of many PKs in one location.
Personal computer monitors performed on electronic ray tubes are potential sources of soft X-ray, ultraviolet, infrared, visible, radiofrequency, super- and low-frequency EMI. The staff of the Electrical Safety Centre conducted an independent study of a number of computers most common in our market and found that the " electromagnetic field level in the user ' s location exceeds the biologically hazardous level. ”
Don't forget that getting a laptop or a PC affects not only you, but also people around you!
Apart from sitting on a computer, the most vulnerable is a person sitting on the right opposite of you (on the angle). Of course, it's the distance. Up to 1, 5 m the zone is considered dangerous.
But take into account the fact that electromagnetic radiation of each unit of equipment increases the general electromagnetic background of the room.
